OMG, I need more practice. LOTS.
Jan. 28th, 2010 11:22 amWell, I don't have paint on canvas yet, but there's still hope (and an incoming snowstorm). Did some sketches, and then put ink down - I'm woefully out of practice on both. It's not just getting the sketch right; it's choosing the right part of the line to make permanent. (Cuts used to spare the uninterested.)
Thing of note: I can suddenly draw noses. Right where they should be. And they look like noses. I have no idea why this ability suddenly descended upon me, but I'll take it.
None of these were done with references of any sort, just my brain trying to tell me how things should look.

So, it's practice, and I need it. Because while I have the *idea* of the Tiana painting looking pretty good, the mechanics are gonna take a LOT of work!
